Apart from work management, AI Companion will give several other upgrades. It will include calendar management to help arrange meetings by choosing a time agreeable to all, clip creation for easy video clip production, and writing assistance for better document creation. They are designed to reduce the efforts required manually, enabling users to focus on higher-level collaboration.
Zoom is also introducing a voice recording feature to its Workplace mobile app, which can record, transcribe, and summarize in-person meetings. The feature will be available by the end of March. Zoom will also introduce live notes that provide real-time summaries during meetings and phone calls in May. These AI-driven features will be available at no additional cost to Zoom Workspace users.
A new Custom AI Companion add-on will become available in April for $12 per user per month. The add-on will allow organizations to tailor the AI Companion with AI Studio, where they can create custom meeting templates, industry dictionaries that include approved terms, and bring in internal data from compatible third-party software. Users will also be able to utilize a digital personal AI coach and industry or use case-specific meeting summary templates. Additionally, the Custom AI Companion add-on includes Custom Avatars for Zoom Clips, which can create video clips with a custom AI-generated avatar and script from the user.

The company is introducing specialized agents that have the ability to power Zoom Business Services, including customer self-service functionality with chat and voice. The agents utilize memory and reasoning abilities to offer empathetic and contextual conversations, resolving intricate issues from start to finish. Zoom’s open platform will allow the users to talk to third-party agents, i.e., ServiceNow AI Agents, and specify custom agents by specific skills in order to suit the business requirement.
