Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus Offers Larger Display, Higher Price

Samsung is going to release its latest mid-range tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus, which will offer a bigger display and several upgrades over its predecessor. The new tablet is expected to feature a 13.1-inch screen, which will be larger than the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus that has a 12.4-inch display. Nevertheless, the S10 FE Plus is reportedly going to have an LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, compared to the high-end Tab S10 Plus’s OLED screen and 120Hz refresh rate. The S10 FE Plus screen resolution is reportedly 2880 x 1800 pixels.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1580 chipset, which is an upgrade from the previous generation’s Exynos 1380. That should be a pretty significant speed and efficiency boost. The tablet will come with 128GB or 256GB of storage, and it still retains a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The RAM will come in 8GB and 12GB options.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus’s camera system has been scaled back to a single 13MP rear camera, without the ultra-wide lens of its predecessor. The front 12MP camera remains the same. This is in line with the trend of focusing on a higher-quality main sensor rather than multiple lenses.

Battery life is another area where the S10 FE Plus is an improvement, with a massive 10,090mAh battery that’s significantly larger than the 8,000mAh battery of the standard S10 FE model. Both tablets support fast 45W charging via USB-C, which is the same as Samsung’s flagship handsets.

Prices for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus are expected to start at $649 for the base version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and reach as high as $749 for the more high-end version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Prices in Europe are rumored to start at €749 for the base version, with the 5G version costing €849. This is a $50 increase from the previous generation, which covers the new features and larger screen.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus will probably follow the design path of its predecessor, with dimensions of 300.5 x 194.7 x 6 mm, making it a bit larger and heavier than the Tab S10 Plus. The tablet is expected to come with a metal body and include S Pen support, a signature element on Samsung tablets.

Overall, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus offers a tempting combination of size, performance, and price that positions it as a good option in the mid-range tablet market. Although there are some concessions here compared to the premium Tab S10 Plus, the larger screen and quicker processor alone make it a worthwhile option for anybody seeking a more affordable yet still capable Android tablet.
