Samsung has launched its new mid-range tablets, Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, with enhanced features at lower prices compared to the flagship Galaxy Tab S10 series. The new “Fan Edition” tablets will be available in stores on April 17, starting at $499 for the S10 FE and $649 for the S10 FE+. Both tablets are available in gray, silver, and blue colors.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE is equipped with a 10.9-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ features a 13.1-inch LCD display, the biggest in the FE series. Both displays come with Vision Booster technology for increased brightness outdoors, which is as high as 800 nits. Although these tablets feature LCD panels and not OLED, they offer smooth images and eye comfort with minimal blue light emission.
Internally, both tablets are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1580 processor, a significant performance improvement over their predecessors. They feature 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, expandable via microSD cards up to 2TB. The tablets also feature IP68-rated water and dust resistance, meaning they can survive being used outdoors.
The camera setup includes a more powerful 13MP rear camera for high-resolution photos and video, along with a 12MP selfie camera. The ultra-wide camera available in previous models has, however, been removed from the FE+ model.
Samsung introduces AI-enhanced features in the FE series for the first time. They are Circle to Search for quick content search, Solve Math for solving complicated math problems, and Handwriting Help to tidy up handwritten notes using the included S Pen. The S Pen is a standard version without Bluetooth functionality but with support for smart note-taking features.
Connectivity features are Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, dual SIM support is optional in models that have 5G support. Battery performance is robust: 8,000mAh in the S10 FE and 10,090mAh in the FE+, with both having support for fast charging at 45W.
The tablets aim to balance performance, price, and innovative features in order to appeal to users looking for flexible devices to use for productivity and entertainment.
